Uterine fibroids are generally benign tumors in the uterus that can grow under the influence of estrogen. Symptoms of fibroids may include very heavy bleeding, pressure in the lower abdomen, pressure on the bladder, and painful periods. While we do not exactly know what causes fibroids, several clinical trials, including this one, are evaluating the effectiveness of new treatment options to manage the symptoms of uterine fibroids.
Why should I participate?
